451 MAIN STREET

LOCATION

NEW ROCHELLE, NEW YORK

PROJECT TYPE

Commercial, Historic Restoration

PROJECT DETAILS

Size: 13,570 sq ft
Status: Completed 2012

This historic building was originally constructed in 1888 and underwent a complete restoration and renovation. Once home to a Masonic Temple, the property has been thoughtfully reimagined to support contemporary commercial use while preserving its historic integrity.

The project included a full gut renovation of the 9,000-square-foot structure, introducing ground-floor retail and office spaces across the upper levels. Key features include new 30-foot skylights with exposed structural trusses, along with upgraded HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, and security systems. Sustainable design strategies and LEED-oriented elements were incorporated throughout, resulting in a modern, efficient space that respects and celebrates its architectural heritage.
