PFGA provided design, construction documents and construction administration for a 1921 building connected to the Village Library, to provide new windows, storefronts, doors, painting, kitchen, and new interior community center with new mezzanine level, interior and exterior modernizations including HVAC, exterior wood, steel, and concrete repairs.
This Addition and Interior Renovation project was initiated to transform a 110 year old, vacant, non-used space, into a welcoming, social destination offering functional, flexible areas for meetings, quiet study, group work and presentations, for groups and individuals of all ages. Th building was designed as LEED Silver and is meant to operate as a stand-alone facility, yet integrate seamlessly with adjacent Library operations and architectural building character. Improvements included exterior restoration, gut interior renovation, creation of a new mezzanine floor, new support spaces, engineering and audiovisual systems and ADA compliance.
