The intention is to increase the size of office space to accommodate the growing staff and to increase entertainment spaces to host alumni functions and continue to serve as a campus focal point for social, recreational, and educational events. 20,000 sqft of expansion and renovation elements include a new state-of-the-art multi-function banquet hall, kitchen, staff office and meeting areas, alumni social space, improved public space with expanded bookstore and cafe. The building is being designed as LEED Silver.

    WILLIAM J. VESCIO COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATION BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Historic Restoration, Public Space PROJECT DETAILS Size: 7,000 sq ft Status: Completed 2016 PFGA provided design, construction documents and construction administration for a 1921 building connected to the Village Library, to provide new windows, storefronts, doors, painting, kitchen, and new interior community center with new mezzanine level, interior and exterior modernizations including HVAC, exterior wood, steel, and concrete repairs. This Addition and Interior Renovation project was initiated to transform a 110 year old, vacant, non-used space, into a welcoming, social destination offering functional, flexible areas for meetings, quiet study, group work and presentations, for groups and individuals of all ages. Th building was designed as LEED Silver and is meant to operate as a stand-alone facility, yet integrate seamlessly with adjacent Library operations and architectural building character. Improvements included exterior restoration, gut interior renovation, creation of a new mezzanine floor, new support spaces, engineering and audiovisual systems and ADA compliance.     DON BOSCO COMMUNITY CENTER EXPANSION LOCATION PORT CHESTER, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Religious PROJECT DETAILS Status: Completed 2012 The Don Bosco Community Center was established in 1928 as a neighborhood focal point for social, recreational, and educational events. To continue to serve the needs of the local neighborhood and the Port Chester/Sound Shore community, the building is undergoing some much needed expansion. A new addition is being to contain new classrooms, an art studio and a cooking school for the daily afterschool children's programs. The new addition will be structurally designed to as an independent structure so no added weight will be on the to the 100 year old original building. The building is being designed as LEED Silver.
