CORTLANDT MANOR BATHHOUSE LOCATION CORTLANDT MANOR PROJECT TYPE Public Space, Parks and Recreation PROJECT DETAILS Size: 3.55 Acres, 4,200 sq ft Bath House Includes: Bathhouse, Golf Course, Pool Sustainable design of new bathhouse facility and mini-golf course to accommodate the public pool serving a town of 44,000 people. The building works with the exiting Recreation complex enhancing the visitor experience and staff management. Project details include a friendly and secure building allows for ample natural light in interior spaces, visual clarity of lifeguard and first aid spaces, new kitchen facilities, a new central outdoor shaded plaza and a new mini-golf course. DON BOSCO COMMUNITY CENTER EXPANSION LOCATION PORT CHESTER, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Religious PROJECT DETAILS Status: Completed 2012 The Don Bosco Community Center was established in 1928 as a neighborhood focal point for social, recreational, and educational events. To continue to serve the needs of the local neighborhood and the Port Chester/Sound Shore community, the building is undergoing some much needed expansion. A new addition is being to contain new classrooms, an art studio and a cooking school for the daily afterschool children's programs. The new addition will be structurally designed to as an independent structure so no added weight will be on the to the 100 year old original building. The building is being designed as LEED Silver. LONGFELLOW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LOCATION MOUNT VERNON, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Education PROJECT DETAILS Size: 24,000 sq ft The City of Mount Vernon School System was seeking space to house the expanded activities of the Longfellow School. The 24,000 sq ft addition was designed to contain flexible space for various school and public events. Year-round programs provide a range of daily activities for children and adults including athletics, education, and arts and sciences. The design consists of a large flexible space with removable seating and because of this much of the space would be able to serve multiple purposes. This provides an area for a range of daily activities for children and adults. The building hosts a variety of athletic, educational, civic, and private events and activities including science fairs, lectures, and dances. Staff offices, meeting areas, and storage facilities support this space. Outdoor public areas adjacent to the building further promote social interaction and allow for outdoor activities and planned athletic events. Back to PROJECTS

FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER LOCATION CENTRAL ISLIP, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Public Space PROJECT DETAILS This proposed center will have a combination of open and friendly but private and secured spaces creating welcoming, safe entrance, assigned classrooms, interoffice for social workers and staff. The design challenge is to connect the outdoor landscape and the lake in meanwhile limit the access from public. Also for sustainable approach to existing complex, the new Center will have the green roof so the tenants from upper levels gain the view with the lake.
