HOLY ROSARY CHURCH LOCATION PORT CHESTER, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Religious PROJECT DETAILS Our Lady of the Rosary Church located on Don Bosco Place in Port Chester has been serving its community for over one hundred years. The main entrance to the church was through an exterior staircase only. The original early 1900's entry foyer was a small transitional space from the exterior to the main church. In keeping up with the changing community, We have added a new addition improving access to the church, creating a more inviting entrance, adding a new elevator and increasing lobby space. The elevator will provide access for senior members of the community and the new larger entry foyer will provide a more inviting gathering interior space before entering into the main church. THE OPUS HOTEL LOCATION WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Commercial, Hotel PROJECT DETAILS Includes: 146 Guest Rooms / Lobby Status: Completed 2022 PFGA provided design and construction documents for an existing hotel lobby and hotel guestrooms interior renovation, to provide new foyer, reception lobby, lounges, bar, salon, and new interior renovation of the existing hotel rooms. The project also included the development of a fully ADA-compliant accessible lobby design, complemented by carefully planned support spaces to ensure seamless circulation, barrier-free access, and full adherence to all applicable accessibility standards. These included accessible reception areas, clear circulation paths, seating zones, and adjacent service spaces. Guestroom improvements encompassed the full interior refurbishment of existing rooms, including updated finishes, improved lighting, and enhanced functionality, ensuring an elevated level of comfort and convenience for hotel visitors. 8TH AVE CONDOMINIUMS LOCATION MOUNT VERNON, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Multi-Family Residential, Affordable Housing PROJECT DETAILS Size: 15,000 sq ft Includes: 3 stories, 11 units This unique project was successful on a number of levels. There was a need for quality, attractive affordable housing in close proximity to the local businesses and transportation. Choices were limited due to initial budget constraints. As the land search progressed, a 5,000 square foot site was discovered, and the project came to life. A three story housing complex for moderate income families at the southwest corner of North Eighth Avenue and North Street was built on the vacant site of former an apartment building, which burned to the ground in 1986. P. Forest Development working with Westhab In Mount Vernon, Inc., is the developer. The $1.2 million project is an Award winning example of how to design and build attractive affordable housing in which the homeowners, and city citizens are proud. The eleven-unit Tudor style building provides new vitality, and an improved landscaping which serves to beautify and better service the residents and the community.
