The building was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978 and now houses the offices of Westchester Community College's President, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and other administration staff. Architecture and engineering work involves mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems upgrade and associated interior modifications and finishes. In addition, the fire alarm system and the existing historic roofing system and associated flashing shall be replaced in kind. BRIARCLIFF MANOR MUNICIPAL LOCATION BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Municipal PROJECT DETAILS Size: 9,000 sq ft Includes: 3 stories, 11 vehicle bays PFGA provided design and construction administration for a 1953 building to provide new windows, storefronts, doors, painting and various exterior wood, steel, concrete repairs and asbestos abatement services. Our team also provided a proposal to renovate the entire facility to address the need for expansions of a Village, Police, Recreation, and Fire Department offices and work areas. The design maximizes storage areas, provides more meeting areas, a new commercial kitchen (fire dept.), new bath, shower, locker facilities, new dispatch areas, larger shared fitness room, new staff lunchroom, and incorporates EOC equipment.
