SALVATION ARMY CORPS WHITE PLAINS LOCATION WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Commercial PROJECT DETAILS Size: 20,000 sq ft Includes: Energy Efficient - Building desing, HVAC, Water and Lighting This project brings together thoughtful planning and contextual design to create a flexible, secure, and community-oriented facility. The building is organized to allow for future expansion, with adaptable interior spaces that support evolving needs over time. Upon entry, a preserved stone chapel becomes a focal point that anchors the overall design. Safety and functionality are central to the project, with controlled access at key entry points, clear internal circulation, and strong visual connections that enhance child safety within flexible classroom environments. The architecture responds carefully to its surroundings, balancing scale and massing to relate to both the adjacent single-family neighborhood and the larger commercial context. Designed for visibility from two streets, the building presents an inviting presence, while the adaptive reuse of the original chapel seamlessly integrates old and new, allowing daily operations to continue throughout construction. BRIARCLIFF MANOR MUNICIPAL LOCATION BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Municipal PROJECT DETAILS Size: 9,000 sq ft Includes: 3 stories, 11 vehicle bays PFGA provided design and construction administration for a 1953 building to provide new windows, storefronts, doors, painting and various exterior wood, steel, concrete repairs and asbestos abatement services. Our team also provided a proposal to renovate the entire facility to address the need for expansions of a Village, Police, Recreation, and Fire Department offices and work areas. The design maximizes storage areas, provides more meeting areas, a new commercial kitchen (fire dept.), new bath, shower, locker facilities, new dispatch areas, larger shared fitness room, new staff lunchroom, and incorporates EOC equipment.
