WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE LOCATION VALHALLA, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Education, Master Planning, Historic Restoration PROJECT DETAILS Size: 7,100 sq ft Status: Completed 2010 This project is an exterior and interior renovation for the Historic 1932 Mansion. The building was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978 and now houses the offices of Westchester Community College's President, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and other administration staff. Architecture and engineering work involves mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems upgrade and associated interior modifications and finishes. HARRISON FIRE DEPARTMENT LOCATION WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Municipal PROJECT DETAILS Size: 21,000 sq ft Includes: expansion of apparatus bay, new semi-private sleeping quarters, locker room and bathroom facilites, multi-functional meeting rooms, interior storage The project includes adding a third floor to the existing building to reduce overcrowding and improve accessibility and code compliance, along with a new public entrance. The design incorporates expanded apparatus bay access and capacity, energy-efficient systems (roofing, windows, HVAC, LED lighting), water-conserving fixtures, and enhanced natural daylighting. SCARSDALE PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING LOCATION SCARSDALE, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Municipal, Historic Restoration PROJECT DETAILS Size: 26,000 sq ft Status: Completed 2011 Includes: commerical kitchen with dining area, locker room facilites, staff offices, new dispatch area, multi-purpose rooms, audio/visual training room, exercise room, equipment and storage areas, support spaces This gut renovation/expansion/rehabilitation project was successful on a number of design, planning and engineering levels. The building was designed to suit the needs of the entire civic community, police, firefighters, and support staff. The new building effectively ties into the current 1924 facility, paying tribute to Scarsdale’s firefighting and police history. It gracefully stands apart from its neighbors as a proud symbol of confidence, fortitude, and safety. The new addition/renovation resolves all of the present and future expansion needs, landscaping, and parking areas. The resulting design is a complement to the street-scape, and promotes a sense of professional excellence, security and pride for the local Village residents and the entire Police and Fire Department staff working at the new facility. WESTPORT SENIOR CENTER LOCATION WESTPORT, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Healthcare and Institutional PROJECT DETAILS Size: 11,000 sq ft Includes: lobby viable transportation options, flexible classrooms, commercial kitchen, code items, parking/drop-off The Center for Senior Activities has outgrown its current location in it’s 11,000 square foot building in the 23 acre town park. Our design proposal includes several principles critical to any good design including: flexible space to be able to respond and adapt to changing interests and new program development, address special needs of seniors, especially regarding safety and security, collaboration with other town and community agencies, groups and activities, lobby viable transportation options, flexible classrooms, commercial kitchen, code items, parking/drop-off, and working with existing building architecture and site. YONKERS GARAGE LOCATION YONKERS, NEW YORK PROJECT TYPE Public Space, Parks and Recreation PROJECT DETAILS New 1000 car Parking Garage for the City of Yonkers to create visual interest for the area. Parking spaces within are for visitors, court staff, police. Project details include a connection to the City Hall bridge, connection to the Court building, rooftop recreation and ceremony area. Our building will reflect a profound knowledge of the site, program, environment, context and scale and will offer a highly tuned set of state-of-the-art, environmentally sensitive and energy and cost reducing technologies.
